Description
The Ziton ZPR868-C Protocol 868MHz Radio Cluster Communicator is a 24VDC powered wireless cluster communicator for interfacing Ziton wireless 868 MHz fire alarm devices into a ZP fire alarm system. It enables these wireless devices to be controlled directly from the ZP7 compatible CIE, and provides a seamless interface between wireless devices and the CIE.
Seamless Addition Of Wireless Devices
Every wireless device controlled through a Ziton ZPR868-C Protocol 868MHz Radio Cluster Communicator has its own unique address with which the main fire alarm control panel communicates with it, providing the same system capabilities as directly wired devices. A full range of wireless detection and alarm devices is available, including multi-sensors capable of dual sensing heat and smoke, smoke only or heat only configurations, manual call points, notification devices (sounders & beacons) as well as input/output units.
System Design
A cluster communicator comprises of a radio transceiver capable of communicating with up to 31 wireless devices. Every cluster communicator communicates directly to a ZPR868-H hub or, should direct communication not be possible, via another cluster communicator (with up to 4 hops) to the hub. This allows for full meshed networked wireless systems with multiple redundant wireless communication parts as well as longer wireless communication ranges when that is required on large sites.
Full Flexibility
Wireless devices are featured in many fire detection and alarm systems, specified where the installation of hard wiring would be difficult or impossible to complete, decorative finishes to the interior of the protected building preclude wiring runs or where the time scales to complete installation are minimal. Cluster communicators allow the system designer full flexibility in selecting the locations of wireless devices anywhere in the system, or even allow all the filed devices in system to be wireless, up to 508 devices per CIE (or 127 devices per loop).
