Description

The ZRW466-3C Wireless Sounder Beacon is a wireless, wall mount, addressable ZP7 series combination sounder/VAD (Visual Alarm Device) designed for indoor applications. It provides an audible and visual warning of a fire alarm condition in areas where the installation of cabling is not an option.

The ZRW466-3C Wireless Sounder Beacon is approved to EN54:3, EN54:23 and EN54:25 and CPR certified as a VAD with a rating of W-3.1-11.3, allowing each VAD to be mounted up to 3.1m high and provide visual coverage for a room size of up to 11.3 x 11.3m with a single device.

Signal Integrity

The ZRx466 devices are controlled directly from the CIE via a loop wired radio interface module. This arrangement allows both wireless and hardwired devices to be seamlessly located on the same loop wiring if required. Installed as part of a ZP addressable fire system, up to 127 devices may be connected to each of the CIE loops. Each wireless device is assigned its own address with which the main control panel communicates, providing the same system facilities as directly wired devices. To ensure the highest signal integrity the unit receives and transmits status and alarm conditions by EN54:25 certified, wireless links. ZRx466 devices have no external aerials.

The Range

The ZRx466 series devices forms part of an extensive range of wireless fire alarm devices which includes smoke and heat detectors, manual call points, IO units and other notification devices. Suitable for applications to BS5839 Part 1, ZRx466 devices may be addressed as standalone units, operating in isolation by signals from its programmed inputs, as part of a group where several units in the same location are synchronized to operate simultaneously, or be operated by both arrangements.

Dual Power Sources

Power for the ZRx466 devices is derived from two supervised, independent battery sources, given these units a service interval of 3 to 5 years, depending on the frequencies of site specific, fire tests. Standard off-the-shelf batteries are used allowing for easy and low cost maintenance.

  • Tamper monitoring support
  • Sounder and VAD synchronization support
  • 32 Selectable tone groups
  • Audio self test support
  • Staged evacuation support
  • Selectable output volume
