Description

The ZP7-HWDC Addressable Door Controller is an addressable interface providing a double pole change-over contact with fail-safe operation. It is intended for installations where ancillary electrical equipment such as fire resisting door release circuits, emergency control of lifts and shut-off of gas or oil supply valves or other building services is controlled from the fire alarm system. Multiple, similar devices such as fire door circuits can be controlled from a single unit.

Construction

The ZP7-HWDC Addressable Door Controller consists of standard, EN54-18 approved components that is loop powered. A separate EN54 compliant power supply is required for the devices to be controlled.

Installation Options

Cable glands are provided for cable entry. Standard Ziton IO modules housed in the enclosure are configured on the CIE as per the normal requirements for the specific modules. The ZP7-HWDC takes up two addresses on the ZP loop. A separate EN54 compliant PSU (up to a maximum of 5 A) is required to provide the power to the ancillary equipment. To prevent tampering with the unit, the unit door can be securely closed using the supplied lid screws.
