Description
The PKC2640@Z80-P is a robust 4MP Bullet IP Camera designed specifically for vehicle license plate recognition (LPR) in challenging outdoor environments. With high-definition video, intelligent analytics, and strong protection against environmental and network threats, it is ideal for traffic monitoring, parking management, and automated gate systems.
Optics and Imaging
The camera features a motorized zoom lens, allowing flexible adjustment to different scenes during installation without manual focus. It supports automatic gain control, white balance, and true wide dynamic range (WDR) to deliver clear images in varied lighting conditions, including strong backlight or low illumination.
Video Compression and Streaming
The camera supports triple video streams and uses advanced H.265 compression technology. Which reduces storage requirements and network bandwidth while maintaining video quality. A custom OSD (On-Screen Display) enables real-time overlay of vehicle information, such as license plates and timestamps, directly on the video feed.
Vehicle and Plate Recognition
The PKC2640@Z80-P is equipped with an integrated LPR algorithm that can recognize standard vehicle license plates from multiple countries. It can detect and capture only the vehicle’s front or head for more accurate plate recognition. The system supports both allow lists and block lists configurations, enabling automated vehicle access control when connected to a gate or barrier.
Storage and Backup
The camera supports Micro SD cards up to 256GB for local storage. With Automatic Network Replenishment (ANR), the camera stores video locally during a network outage and uploads it once connectivity is restored, ensuring no data is lost.
Audio and Communication
It includes audio input and output for sound recording and intercom functionality, useful in access control points where operators may need to speak with drivers.
Networking and Integration
The camera offers network auto-adaptability for smooth live video streaming even under conditions like packet loss. It supports SNMP, NAT traversal (UNP), and integrates easily with third-party systems through SDK or HTTP API.
Network Security
Security is a priority. The camera provides:
- Password protection, including weak password detection and account lockout on failed login attempts
- HTTPS encryption and RTSP stream authentication
- IP address filtering to block unauthorized devices
- Gateway ARP protection to prevent spoofing attacks
