The NSW2020-24T1GT1GC-POE-IN is a 24-port unmanaged Ethernet switch with one Gigabit RJ45 uplink and one Gigabit SFP uplink. This is designed to support Power over Ethernet (PoE) for connected devices such as IP cameras, access points, and VoIP phones. Built with simplicity, durability, and flexibility in mind, it is well-suited for small to medium-sized networks. Particularly those in surveillance and SMB environments.
This switch supports three operating modes to suit different use cases.
- In Default (Normal) mode, all ports communicate freely, suitable for general networking.
- In VLAN (Secure) mode, downlink ports are isolated from one another and can only communicate with uplink ports, enhancing security by preventing device-to-device communication. This is ideal for public or shared environments.
- In EXTEND (Surveillance) mode, the switch supports data and PoE transmission up to 250 meters over standard Ethernet cables by reducing port speed to 10Mbps. Therefore making it highly effective for long-distance IP camera installations.
The switch also includes port traffic control to prevent bandwidth overload and ensure stable data transmission. Buffer optimization improves performance under heavy traffic, reducing the risk of data loss or congestion in high-demand conditions.
