Description
Teletek SPIKA-EM7 Emergency Microphone Station
Overview
The SPIKA-EM7 is an emergency microphone station designed for use in Voice Evacuation (EVAC) systems across commercial, institutional, scientific, and historical environments. It provides reliable high-priority voice communication during fire and emergency conditions, allowing operators to deliver clear instructions to specific zones within a building.
Built in compliance with EN 54-16 requirements, the SPIKA-EM7 is powered directly from the voice evacuation control panel, ensuring stable operation as part of a certified life safety system.
Emergency Communication Function
The unit features 7 programmable buttons, specifically designed for high-priority emergency messaging. Each button can be configured to activate either pre-recorded evacuation messages or live voice announcements, enabling flexible and rapid response depending on the emergency scenario.
These functions allow targeted communication across different system zones, ensuring occupants receive accurate and situational instructions during critical events such as fire alarms or evacuations.
System Integration
The SPIKA-EM7 connects via a wired communication interface and is addressed using dip-switch configuration for straightforward system identification. It supports integration within the SPIKA Voice EVAC system architecture, ensuring reliable communication between the control panel and multiple system peripherals.
Each station includes line status and system status LED indicators, providing immediate visual confirmation of system readiness and operational condition.
Design & User Control
The unit is housed in a durable metal enclosure designed for long-term reliability in demanding environments. A protected emergency (EVAC) key function ensures controlled activation, preventing accidental or unauthorised use while maintaining quick access during emergencies.
Microphone sensitivity is adjustable, allowing optimisation of voice clarity in different acoustic environments.
Power & Compliance
The SPIKA-EM7 is powered directly from the voice evacuation panel, supporting simplified installation and consistent performance in compliance with EN 54-16 standards. This ensures the station meets stringent requirements for voice alarm and emergency communication systems.
