The large red, domed pushbutton latches when pressed and requires a twist action to release.

The robust enclosure allows for either surface mounting or mounting to a single gang flush box.

Description

The Kentec Extinguishing Abort Unit Pushbutton K13470M10 is a dedicated manual abort interface designed for integration with Kentec Sigma XT+ extinguishing control panels. It provides a hard-wired, momentary-to-latching abort input that interrupts the extinguishing release sequence while the button is actively engaged, in accordance with typical gas suppression control logic.

The unit incorporates a high-visibility red mushroom pushbutton with a maintained (latching) action. When depressed, the contacts change state and remain latched, signaling the panel to suspend the countdown and inhibit agent discharge. The actuator requires a twist-to-reset mechanical action, preventing inadvertent restoration. This configuration ensures deliberate operator intervention and clear visual indication of abort status.

Electrically, the device utilizes volt-free changeover contacts rated at 30 VDC, 2.5 A. Making it suitable for standard extinguishing control circuits. It connects directly to the abort input terminals of the control panel and forms part of the monitored release circuit configuration defined within the panel programming. System designers must ensure correct end-of-line and supervision arrangements in line with the panel’s extinguishing mode configuration.

The enclosure is manufactured from 1.2 mm mild steel, finished in textured mid-grey (BS00A05). With overall dimensions of 102 × 102 × 50 mm, it supports surface mounting as standard. For recessed installations, the optional flush mounting collar (M10FCLGT) enables integration into standard electrical back boxes. Cable entry is via 20 mm knockouts.

The unit carries an IP30 rating, suitable for indoor, dry environments, and operates within a temperature range of –5°C to +40°C.

In extinguishing system design, the K13470M10 forms a critical human interface component. Providing controlled manual intervention during the discharge delay period while maintaining compliance with standard gas suppression operating principles.
