Description

The IU2050NC 2000 Series IO Unit 1 In is a 2000 series addressable single input unit with selectable line supervision to monitor normally open or normally closed contacts. The unit is loop powered and supplied in an enclosure for surface mounting applications.

The 2000 series loop powered input/output modules are designed to provide much needed flexibility to input monitoring and output switching. These modules, combined with the powerful features of the Aritech addressable fire panels, give the user versatility for diverse applications.

Applications

The addressability of the IU2050NC allows the identification of the exact location of the switch activation. It may be used with applications requiring fast response such a conventional manual call points, door monitors etc. where a change of state needs to be reported within 3 seconds. Alternatively it can be used in any application where a point needs to be made addressable and supervised on the fire panel.

Installation

The IU2050NC is connected to and Aritech CIE via a two-wire communication loop that provides power and control data. The single input module address is conveniently set with rotary switches. The address setting is non-volatile and will not be lost in the event of a power failure.

The single input module utilizes an advanced digital data communications protocol that ensures the integrity of the data communications with extensive error correction algorithms.
