Description
The Honeywell RK-MIC is the call station for the INTEVIO system, and it allows users to deliver live paging, trigger background music, and provide service or emergency broadcast to the selected speaker groups. It can be used for volume control, temporary recording, audio monitoring, and more. Up to 6 call stations can be connected in the system.
Functions
Buttons
The Honeywell RK-MIC has 8 function buttons and 8 configurable buttons. The function buttons are used for regular operations such as select all, zone close, audio monitoring, temporary recording, recording playback, line input selection and microphone switch. The configurable buttons can be programmed to operate as speaker group selection, broadcast task selection, or volume control. The the buttons can be configured as press or toggle. More buttons can be added by connecting the HMC-K4 or HMC-K8.
Audio Monitoring
The RK-MIC has a built-in monitoring speaker to monitor the audio source in channel 1 and channel 2, which helps prevent accidental broadcasts and increases operational efficiency.
Record And Play
The call station allows users to record temporary messages and broadcast them immediately – without configuration. This means the system can be used for promotional applications where a message may need to be updated frequently.
Fault Detection And Status Indication
The RK-MIC can detect faults on the gooseneck microphone and communication line. It has 4 LED indicators to identify the status of the unit, displaying the status for the power supply, general fault, network fault, and busy audio channel.
Line Input
With single line input, the remote call station allows users to connect an external audio source, such as a CD, DVD, tuner, etc., and broadcast it without configuration.
