Description

The Fusion FCX-177-001 optical smoke detector is an addressable detector to be used with a wireless base. It works on the light scatter principle and is ideal for applications where slow-burning or smouldering fires are likely. The Fusion FCX-177-001 is quick and easy to install by simply fitting to a compatible wireless base.

Operating Principle

Wireless devices are often installed in buildings where wiring presents a challenge because the fabric of the building or its design is negatively affected by the use of cables. It could also be difficult to introduce cable runs into heritage buildings. It is for these architecturally sensitive buildings that the Fusion series was developed.

Every Fusion device is assigned an address from is base. This address is converted by the Fusion wireless loop interface to a device address similar to a wired device connected directly to the loop wiring.
