The DT992CO Apollo Discovery CO/Heat Multisensor combination carbon monoxide and heat detector is an elegant, slim-line addressable detector. It detects the presence of carbon monoxide or heat, or a combination of both depending on the operating mode selected.

Operating Modes

The DT992CO Apollo Discovery CO/Heat Multisensor supports 5 operating modes for various applications:

• Very high sensitivity CO, moderate heat: For a high overall sensitivity to both smoldering and flaming fires
• CO Detection only
• Moderate sensitivity CO, moderate heat: For general fire applications
• Low sensitivity CO, moderate heat: For areas where a certain amount of CO is normal
• Temperature only, A1R

Operating Principles

The signals from the CO cell and temperature sensor are independent of each other. They individually represent the amount of CO or heat in the vicinity of the detector. When the DT992CO is used in heat only mode, it performs like a standard A1R, grade 1 rate-of-rise thermal detector, whilst in CO only more, the detector acts as a pure CO fire detector.
