The AXIS TU8012 120 W Connectivity Midspan DC delivers up to 120 W of power to selected Axis PTZ cameras. It supports IEEE 802.3bt, IEEE 802.3af, IEEE 802.3at and Axis High PoE, offering flexible power options for demanding security installations.

Operating on a 24–48 V DC input, this midspan suits network and fibre deployments. Its built-in SFP slot supports fibre connectivity, making it ideal for long-distance installations where standard network cabling may not meet requirements.

Add audio and I/O connectivity

Portcast technology adds two-way audio and I/O connectivity to compatible Axis cameras. It uses the camera’s IP address to integrate audio and I/O functionality seamlessly into the existing network.

This setup supports audio and video in one network stream without requiring an additional video management system (VMS) licence. The midspan also supports digital and unbalanced microphones, providing flexibility for different audio applications.

With audio and I/O ports, installers can expand camera capabilities without adding unnecessary complexity to the system.

Smart restart for reliable uptime

The AXIS TU8012 continuously monitors the connected camera through regular signal checks. If the camera fails to respond within 15 minutes, the smart restart function automatically restarts it.

This feature helps restore camera operation and reduce downtime, supporting more reliable security monitoring.

Flexible power management

The midspan includes remote on/off functionality through I/O, allowing users to control power to connected equipment when needed. This can help manage power consumption across compatible installations.
