AXIS TD8902 SFP+ Module LC.SR.X – Industrial-Grade Fiber Connectivity
The AXIS TD8902 SFP+ Module LC.SR.X is an enhanced small form-factor pluggable (SFP+) transceiver that delivers reliable fiber optic connectivity for network devices such as switches, routers, and Axis network cameras. Designed for industrial environments, it operates over a wide temperature range from –40 °C to 65 °C, ensuring dependable performance in demanding conditions.
The module complies with the SFP+ Multisource Agreement (MSA), allowing easy installation into compatible ports without interrupting the online operation of host equipment. Short wavelength (850 nm) VCSEL laser diodes support data transmission up to 400 meters on multimode 50/125 μm optical fiber. The TD8902 has been tested and verified with Axis products.
Link-Loss Feature for Network Redundancy
The TD8902 includes a Loss of Signal (LOS) feature that improves network reliability. It detects when a connection between a device. Such as an Axis network camera—and the host is lost or unusable. When this occurs, the module signals the hardware to redirect network traffic through a fallback connection, for example via RJ45. This ensures continuous operation and optimized network redundancy, minimizing downtime and maintaining critical connectivity.
