The AXIS M4227-LVE is a compact, varifocal dome camera. It offers high-quality 5 MP video and advanced analytics—perfect for indoor or outdoor surveillance.
Sharp 5 MP Video
This camera delivers clear, detailed images in 5 MP resolution. It features a varifocal lens with a 98°–38° field of view. You can adjust zoom and focus remotely, with no need for manual setup. Lightfinder 2.0 and Forensic WDR provide great visibility in low light or high-contrast scenes. OptimizedIR enables clear night vision in total darkness. Axis Zipstream, with support for H.264 and H.265, cuts bandwidth and storage needs while keeping image quality high.
Built-in AI and Audio Detection
With a deep learning processing unit (DLPU), the camera runs AI analytics on the edge. It includes AXIS Object Analytics to detect, track, and classify people and vehicles. It also features an acoustic sensor for AXIS Audio Analytics, which can detect and categorize sounds like breaking glass or raised voices. These features provide smarter, faster incident response.
Security Built In
Axis Edge Vault protects the device against tampering and data theft. It offers FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certified key storage for strong cybersecurity.
Compact and Durable
This dome camera is small and discreet, blending easily into its surroundings. A smoked dome is available to obscure lens direction. It’s rated IP66 and IK10, so it’s resistant to rain, dust, and impact. It operates from -30°C to 50°C (-22°F to 122°F). A weathershield is included for extra protection outdoors.
