The AXIS A4030-E Reader delivers secure, touch-free access control in a compact mullion design. Built to integrate seamlessly with Axis network door controllers and credentials, it provides a reliable solution for modern access control systems. Its slim profile fits perfectly in narrow spaces, including door frames, glass entrances, and elevator installations, where traditional readers may not fit.
Seamless Integration with Axis Solutions
As part of the Axis end-to-end access control portfolio, the AXIS A4030-E works alongside Axis door controllers and credentials to create a unified security solution. The reader supports a wide range of 13.56 MHz RFID technologies. Including AXIS TA4711 Access Cards, AXIS TA4712 Key Fobs, MIFARE Classic®, MIFARE Plus®, and MIFARE DESFire® EV1, EV2, and EV3.
When paired with AXIS Camera Station Secure Entry, organizations can take advantage of advanced access control features such as anti-passback, two-person rule, centralized management, and simplified administration.
Designed for Flexible Installations
The AXIS A4030-E combines compact dimensions with robust performance. Installers can easily mount the reader in narrow locations without compromising functionality. With an IP65 rating for protection against dust and water and an IK07 rating for impact resistance. The reader performs reliably in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Administrators can remotely manage the device through Axis door controllers, allowing them to configure settings. Deploy firmware updates, and maintain system security from a central location.

Security remains at the heart of the AXIS A4030-E. The reader supports Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP) for secure, bidirectional communication and uses Secure Channel Protocol (SCP) to protect credentials and encryption keys.
An EAL6+ Certified Secure Element strengthens protection against cyber threats, while built-in tamper detection alerts administrators to unauthorized interference attempts. Transparent Mode enhances security by storing encryption keys on the door controller instead of the reader, reducing the risk of key compromise.
OSDP Secure Profile verification also ensures excellent interoperability with third-party access control systems.
