New KIDDE Commercial panels

Kidde Commercial is excited to announce the introduction of its NEW KIDDE COMMERCIAL PANELS, offered with and without Touchscreen, together with NEW EXCELLENCE SERIES DEVICES.

The new Kidde Commercial 2X-A and 2X-AT panels arrive with the new EXCELLENCE Series protocol. Which offers the opportunity to use the NEW intelligent addressable devices in combination with Aritech devices. This allows for easy migration. Based on same 2X-A panel features and with full backwards compatibility, the new KIDDE COMMERCIAL panels include an improved user interface on the 2X-AT variant, with a 7” colour Touchscreen – a very useful feature for customers preferring an alternative to the 2X-A jog dial. The Kidde Commercial 2X-A and 2X-AT panels, together with the EXCELLENCE Series detectors, modules and manual call points, provide a complete intelligent fire detection system, incorporating leading edge technology. In addition, the Excellence Series devices come with a 5-year warranty.

What are the benefits of the new Kidde Commercial panels and Excellence Series devices?

Cost Effective Installation:

• 4 High Power Loops (up to 800 mA per loop) allow 3.2 times more devices to be fitted to each system.
• Integrated loop short circuit isolation in the new EXCELLENCE series devices not only reduce product cost, but also installation cost and system complexity.

 Effective Cost Commissioning: The new intelligent devices are quicker to commission and maintain due to a multitude of new features.

• New migration tools greatly reduce the time to upgrade protocols.
• Panels can auto configure when new devices are added to the system.

Cost Effective Operation:

• The new intuitive touch screen reduces the amount of training needed and saving cost. The touch screen also increases the speed of operation by three times.
• A new smoke discrimination algorithm ensures that there is a more accurate detection of smoke, reducing false alarms.

Cost Effective Maintenance: 

• IP connectivity and remote control of our new panels via PCC allows remote diagnostics and programming, reducing travel to site.
• Low maintenance optical chamber design in the new EXCELLENCE series detectors means less time spent on detector maintenance and cleaning.

Reduced Losses and Casualties:

• The new intelligent point detectors provide more accurate detection of smoke. Reducing false alarms and links to other systems such as HVAC fans, PAVA, escape route systems and fire extinguishing systems, to reduce the threat to property and personnel.

  Always Secure –  72 hour system backup on power failure, ensuring an unmanned property is fully protected over a weekend.
  Always in Touch – With IP connectivity, the panel can communicate both to mobile devices and through multiple channels to a CMS. This ensures all faults and emergencies are acted on immediately.
